Spacial Audio Solutions - SAM 3 Broadcaster

FORMERLY FEATURED ARTISTS

Greater Vision. This trio is one of my personal favorites and they have amassed a long list of awards and number #1 hits which shows how much they are loved by their peers and fans alike.  The vocals and the rich harmony Greater Vision has become noted for are a result of the blending of three unique and versatile vocalists. Gerald Wolfe, former Cathedrals pianist and vocalist and the group’s founder, sings the lead. Prolific songwriter, Rodney Griffin, handles the baritone part for the trio. Jason Waldroup, the group’s youngest member, provides the exceptional tenor part.

Greater Vision's newest recording features nine songs written by Rodney Griffin, as well as one classic convention-style favorite. Audiences have responded to the new material, with the first radio single, “Soon We Will See” being nominated for Song of the Year for 2002. The second release, “A Pile Of Crowns”, is quickly becoming one of the most requested songs on Gospel music radio stations nationwide.

Greater Vision began in 1990 and immediately audiences responded overwhelmingly to their rich vocal blend and ability to effectively communicate the message of the Gospel. Since the trio’s formation, they have established a firm place at the top of the Christian music ladder, being named Trio of the Year by both The Singing News Magazine and The Southern Gospel Music Association. They have also held honors for Song of the Year in 1999 and 2000, with “My Name Is Lazarus” and “Just One More Soul”, respectively. Group members have been recognized individually as well.  Rodney has been named Songwriter of the Year for the last four years running, Gerald has been named Male Vocalist of the Year for three consecutive years, and finally, Jason has recently been recognized by the readers of The Singing News Magazine, as Gospel music’s Favorite Young Artist for 2002.

We are proud to feature some of their best songs:

  • I Believe

  • He Left It All

  • So Much God

  • A Pile Of Crowns

  • Soon We Will See

  • Just One More Soul
  • My Name Is Lazarus
  • Far Beyond This Place
  • Unworthy But Made Worthy

The Believers. A talented southern gospel group out of Greenville, Kentucky. Also featured is their latest recently released TAKE IT TO THE PEOPLE album. Five tracks from their album are currently in rotation on our playlist (below) so be listening and watching for them to appear.

  • Stone's Throw
  • Enough Grace
  • Other People's Storms
  • Take It To The People
  • What A Precious Friend featuring Lily Fern Weatherford

If you've had a chance to see the group in person or if you own their CD, please let me know and I will pass on your experience to our listeners.  According to The Believer's bass singer, David Jobe, the group has recently signed with a new recording company,   Some Dawning Records.

Their What A Precious Friend song has received some chart action and features Lily Fern Weatherford.  My favorite cut on the album is Stone's Throw which has a very poignant message that, despite all odds, God is there for us and in control.  It was written by Gus Gaches from the group Calvary Construction Company.  Gus was also the vocal engineer on this album.

The Believer's tenor, Sterlin Hollis, wrote three songs on the album, Enough Grace, Other People's Storms and Daddy I'll Do It.  The groups founder and baritone, Elvis Harrison, wrote the title track, Take It To The People.  Diane Hollis (married to Sterlin) is the lead singer who does a marvelous job on Enough Grace.  Rounding out the group is Ken Johnson, their  road manager and pianist.

Rebecca Avery.  An extremely talented Christian artist with SonShine Records. AUTUMN OF YOUR HEART is the first release for Rebecca. She has been singing since childhood, however. Music is her passion and she has been involved in several choirs in both church and school. She has also performed in musical theater.  Since moving to Sacramento in 1990, Rebecca has continued her passion to sing.   She was the lead vocalist for the band Digable Peace and also performs with the band Vision.  She has many solo performances in "An Evening in December" a Broadway style musical produced by First Covenant Church which is performed at Sacramento's Memorial Auditorium. Her desire is to minister to the people of God and to touch the hearts of those who have not yet accepted Him as their Saviour.

The featured song on this album is her beautifully done Rest Here A While.  Words and music by  Wendy Wills, Lifesong Music Press (BMI).   The song was actually written before September 11th but no more comforting and fitting song could have been written to help Christians realize that God is still in control and will never leave us alone.  Her album was produced by Phil Sillas for SonShine Records.   Look for great things from this marvelous artist.
